UPDATE: TARZAN AND JANE Words by Liam Roffey and Music by Peter Leftus

UPDATE: And from my young friend in New Zealand… So I messed up with Liam’s songs, sorry! He did indeed did write two different songs and was able to attach both of the documents to an email. Sorry about posting them wrong Liam :)

Here’s the first song he’s written. And way to go to on figuring out how to attach documents to email. I believe this was the first time he’s done this and it worked out perfectly – You did a great job! Without further ado, here’s his first song:

Verse 1

G D/F#
Looking around the library for a book to read

Em C
Suddenly I’m finding it hard to breathe

G D/F#
There’s a perfect smile a on a perfect face

Em C
What’s a perfect girl doing in this place

G D/F#
I wonder what sort of book she’s reading

Em C

G D/F#
A girl like that’s way out of my league

Em C G/B
But it’s not against the law for a boy to dream

Prechorus

Am G/B C Am G/B C D
If I close my eyes I can see just how happy you and me could be

Chorus

G C
Living in the Jungle swinging through the trees

G C
Having so much fun girl, if only you could see

Em C
We could have a life together like no one ever knew

Em C
Every day a new adventure in this paradise for two

G D/F# Em
We could live like this forever come on let’s run away

Am7 D G
I’ll be your Tarzan, and you’ll be my Jane

Verse 2

G D/F#
Sitting in the Library all by myself

Em C
Something catches my eye over there by the shelf

G D/F#
Messed up hair and rugged good looks

Em C
He seems like something straight out of a book

G D/F#
I’d better stop staring I don’t want to seem too keen

Em C
I’d better go back to my reading, see if he’ll take the lead

G D/F#
He’ll probably never go for a girl like me

Em C G/B
But it’s not against the law for a girl to dream

Prechorus

Chorus

G C
Living in the Jungle swinging through the trees

G C
Having so much fun boy, if only you could see

Em C
We could have a life together like no one ever knew

Em C
Every day a new adventure in this paradise for two

G D/F# Em
